Dragon Black was quick to begin. 

Payton's Pearl – Turned in the boxes, took no competitive part in the race and was placed on a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 106(1) and pursuant to GAR 132. A post-race veterinary examination revealed an injury to the right wrist. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Parwan's Star – Late scratching at 9:46 am when Miss Crystal Verde reported the greyhound to have a laceration injury (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Lanky Larry.

Mr Clint Capuano requested an early race endorsement for Lanky Larry. Stewards approved the request after an extensive examination prior to racing by the On–Track Veterinarian. Lanky Larry will compete in early races until further notice.

Riverdale Clyde was quick to begin. Daphnee's Gold and Lanky Larry were slow to begin.

Toe (turned its head to the outside turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was re-examined following the last event. Toe was found to have a sprain to the right forelimb. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Wayne Gray regarding Toe’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Toe was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Gray pleaded guilty to the charge. Toe must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
