Steward's Report
The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Ty's Houdini and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6:58pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. J. Hardy was fined the sum of $100.
A pre race sample was taken from Marmion Star.
Marmion Star and Iona Lucky Seven were quick to begin. Victory Cruise and Ima Warrior collided soon after the start checking Ima Warrior. Euphoric and Bronze Lad collided on the first turn checking Bronze Lad. Senor Vee Bee and Marmion Star collided on the first turn checking Marmion Star. Senor Vee Bee and Victory Cruise raced wide in the home straight.
Marmion Star was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained grazes to the left and right metatarsals. No stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Iona Lucky Seven - the winner of the event.
