Tekki Will Power and Da Swan were slow to begin. Fred Of Lidsdale raced wide approaching the first turn. Hilltop Senorita checked off White Bandit on the first turn. Tekki Will Power checked off Direwolf Ghost entering the home straight. Fred Of Lidsdale and Slipaway Robbie collided in the home straight, causing Slipaway Robbie to gallop on the heels of White Bandit, checking both greyhounds.
Hilltop Senorita was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right shoulder, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Da Swan which trailed the field throughout was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
