Ellie Dunbar was a late scratching at 11:25am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. T. Whitford was fined the sum of $100.

Paranoia, Who's That Chap, Yaris Bale and Kilty's Tiger were slow to begin.  Paranoia and Who's That Chap collided approaching the first turn.  Harvest Gold checked off Triple Cee approaching the home turn.  Yaris Bale clipped the heels of Harvest Gold approaching the home turn checking Yaris Bale and Who's That Chap.  Harvest Gold checked off Crystal Cameo on the home turn.  Paranoia and Harvest Gold collided on the home turn.  Uncontrollable and Crystal Cameo collided on the home turn.  Who's That Chap and Yaris Bale crossed to the inside in the home straight.

Bit Iffy and Flippin' Good were slow to begin.  Smashing Success crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Oriental Law and Herodium.  Herodium, Super Spanner and Flippin' Good collided approaching the home turn checking Oriental Law and severely checking Super Spanner and Flippin' Good. Oriental Law and Super Spanner collided on the home turn.

Zed's Birthday was quick to begin.  Flashy Arrow and Sunset Magic were slow to begin.  Kid Famechon and Zed's Birthday collided soon after the start.  Flashy Arrow, Kallara Gem and Zed's Birthday collided approaching the first turn.  Kallara Gem checked off Kid Famechon on the home turn.  Cosmic Daicos raced wide in the home straight.

Astana Spur was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Conclude, Wally Matuszek, Hook Him In and Kobyetta collided soon after the start checking Hook Him In. Hook Him In checked off Pason Sander on the first turn.  Wally Matuszek and Crowdza Talking collided on the first turn.  Stinga Rebel and Astana Spur raced wide in the back straight.  Pason Sander and Crowdza Talking collided on the second turn.  Hook Him In raced wide on the home turn.

Wealth, Coopnarcha and Kifinti were slow to begin.  Perfect Causeway, Gimme Butterflys and Mar Wah collided soon after the start checking Gimme Butterflys. Mar Wah and Aunty Janet collided approaching the first turn checking Aunty Janet and Wealth.  Perfect Causeway, Mar Wah and Kifinti collided on the first turn checking Perfect Causeway, Wealth, Aunty Janet and Gimme Butterflys.  Mar Wah checked off Aunty Janet approaching the home turn.  Wealth and Perfect Causeway collided entering the home straight.  Aunty Janet raced wide in the home straight.

Gimme Butterflys was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Black Salt was a late scratching at 10:54am due to an injury to its toe (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Boston George was quick to begin.  Zelemar Steel was slow to begin.  Tina Two and Cose Drom collided approaching the first turn.  Bazinga Marjen and Zelemar Steel collided on the first turn.  Boston George, Cose Drom, Capacity and Kang Bale collided on the first turn checking Capacity and severely checking Bazinga Marjen.  Boston George and Cose Drom collided approaching the winning post.

Bazinga Marjen was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Miracle Maggie was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Slipaway Jenifer, Mouth For War and Bradfield collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Bradfield and Spa Missy collided approaching the winning post.

Media Tycoon, Kaiju, Highfield Zibia and Just A Dot were slow to begin.  Media Tycoon and Kaiju collided soon after the start.  Opulent Rose and Mi Diablo collided on the first turn checking Mi Diablo.  Why Not Liam and Just A Dot collided in the back straight.  Opulent Rose eased approaching the second turn and lost considerable ground as a result.  Opulent Rose and Mi Diablo collided on the second turn.  Why Not Liam and Media Tycoon tired over the concluding stages of the event.

Opulent Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Brook, the trainer of the greyhound Opulent Rose regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the second turn.  Acting under GAR 69(A)(1), stewards charged Opulent Rose with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment.  Mr. Brook pleaded guilty to the charge.  Opulent Rose was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Why Not Liam was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left thigh.  A 14 day stand down period was imposd.

Media Tycoon was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Ms. M. Shaw, trainer of the greyhound Mr. Optimistic redeclared a new weight of 35.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Mr. Optimistic last raced at 37.0kgs.

Tiny Profit was slow to begin.  Prison Cells and Maximum Maddy collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn.  Prison Cells and Typhoon Blake collided on the first turn checking Prison Cells, Typhoon Blake and Maximum Maddy.  Maximum Maddy checked off Tiny Profit approaching the home turn.  Prison Cells and Tiny Profit collided approaching the home turn.  Prison Cells crossed to the outside on the home turn and raced wide.  Typhoon Blake raced wide in the home straight.

Southwood Rose, Slipaway Simba and Oriental Katana raced wide entering the home straight.
