Steward's Report
A urine sample was taken from Annabella Rose upon arrival at the course.
Misty Blue and Annabella Rose were slow to begin.
Dewana Sensation (visibly eased and turned its head outwards turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the right hind toe, however no stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr Brendan Dewan regarding the greyhound’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Dewana Sensation was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Dewan pleaded guilty to the charge. Dewana Sensation must perform a satisfactory trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards spoke to trainer Mrs Emma Scott regarding the racing manners of Magic Snowdrop turning off the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mrs Scott, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
