Steward's Report
Penny's For Me was a late scratching at 8.32am due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ms Kathryn Bentley, the trainer of Ultimate Jet redeclared a new weight of 26.4kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Ultimate Jet last raced at 24.6kg.
Vasile Boy and Ultimate Jet were slow to begin. American Girl was quick to begin. Sunita, Ya There Joe and Judy's My Name collided approaching the first turn. Ultimate Jet, Sunita, Ya There Joe and Judy's My Name collided on the first turn checking Ultimate Jet and Ya There Joe. Sunita checked off Judy's My Name approaching the home turn.
Ultimate Jet was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a strained left wrist and left shoulder soreness, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.
