Steward's Report
Aston Aurelia – Late scratching at 10:51am when Ms Michelle Mallia reported the greyhound to have a illness (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Crypto Royalty was quick to begin. Tat Leah and Missin' The Bug were slow to begin.
Tat Leah (faltered on the first turn and subsequently tailed off) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocation and ruptured ligament to the right hind toe and a dislocated right hock. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Kraken Whisky - the winner of the event.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track on the first turn and deemed it satisfactory for racing.
