Flying Xye and Riverdale Maggie were slow to begin.  Blue Label, Somebody's Image, Panders Box and Mitchell's Girl collided soon after the start checking Blue Label and Somebody's Image.  Flying Xye checked off Somebody's Image approaching the first turn.  Mitchell's GIrl, Barellen Romance and Diamond Doll collided on the first turn checking Diamond Doll and Barellen Romance.  Diamond Doll, Barellen Romance, Panders Box and Blue Label collided approaching the home turn checking Barellen Romance and Blue Label.  Flying Xye checked off Somebody's Image approaching the home turn.  Panders Box and Somebody's Image raced wide in the home straight.

Cold Stare, Infinite Senor and Oakmont Bandit were slow to begin.  Ima Cosmic was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Magic Court checked off Noddy's Knocka on the first turn checking Cold Stare.  Noddy's Knocka checked off Infinite Senor on the first turn.  Noddy's Knocka contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.  Honey Girl checked off Magic Court approaching the home turn checking Noddy's Knocka and severely checking Cold Stare and Infinite Senor; Honey Girl fell as a result.  Infinite Senor and Oakmont Bandit collided approaching the home turn.  Ima Cosmic checked off Cold Stare on the home turn.

Noddy's Knocka was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Honey Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Giddy Up was quick to begin.  El Huracan and Amber Diane collided soon after the start.  Sparkling Star checked off Fearful Amy soon after the start.  Giddy Up checked off Fearful Amy approaching first turn.  Sparkling Star checked off Play Your Ace approaching the first turn.  Fearful Amy and El Huracan collided approaching the home turn.  Giddy Up and Fearful Amy collided in the home straight.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Misty Febey and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 11:17am due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. G. Febey was fined the sum of $100.

Mr. G. Couldridge, handler of Lynlaw Mal redeclared a new weight of 33.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lynlaw Mal last raced at 35.2kgs.

Lynlaw Mal was slow to begin.  Ima Tornado contacted the running rail on the first turn and collided with Lynlaw Mal as a result.  November Fantasy and Girrawarra Magic collided approaching the home turn checking Girrawarra Magic.  Hotlips Matilda, Barellen Bazz and Twelve Steps collided several times in the home straight and approaching the winning post checking Barellen Bazz.

Dark Corgi and Ya There were slow to begin.  Prince Of Monaco went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.  Bebony Bale and Dark Avenger collided approaching the first turn checking Dark Avenger and Dark Corgi.  Prince Of Monaco and Dark Corgi collided on the first turn checking Prince Of Monaco.  Marmion Star and Ya There collided approaching the home turn.  Bebony Bale galloped on the heels of Ya There approaching the home turn.  Bebony Bale and Ya There collided on the home turn.  Marmion Star and Dark Avenger collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards noted that the muzzle of Ya There became partially dislodged during the running of the event.
