Shazzle's Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained severe cyanosis and post race hypthermia and injuries to the left quadriceps and left back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Weightman, the trainer of Shazzle's Boy and advised him that acting in accordance with GAR 74, Stewards directed that Shazzle's Boy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
