Triple Lindy and Bronco De Jurer collided approaching the first turn. Central Road and Bronco De Jurer collided approaching the first turn. Central Road checked off Airbound on the first turn and collided with Bronco De Jurer. Airbound checked off Ima Screw Loose on the first turn. Airbound and Ima Screw Loose collided on the home turn. Shazzle's Boy was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained severe cyanosis and post race hypthermia and injuries to the left quadriceps and left back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Weightman,  the trainer of Shazzle's Boy and advised him that acting in accordance with GAR 74, Stewards directed that Shazzle's Boy must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Cool For School was slow to begin.

Spring Millie checked off Margins soon after the start. Empire Allen, Ulla Allen and Gaucho collided approaching the first turn checking Margins, Grand Intention and Ulla Allen, causing Grand Intention and Margins to contact the rail. Opus Bale checked off Skip's Nightmare entering the home straight. Empire Allen, Margins and Gaucho collided approaching the winning post.

Grand Intention was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration to the left hind. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Bekim Vapour went up with the lids at box rise and was slow to begin.

Gravitation was slow to begin.

Ronray Spirit, Lektra Utopia and Crackerjack Max collided soon after the start checking Ronray Spirit and Lektra Utopia. Crackerjack Max and Gravitation collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Max and Fuelish. Boxhead checked off Ronray Spirit on the first turn. Ronray Spirit checked off Dr. Phil on the first turn. Lektra Utopia and Crackerjack Max collided on the first turn checking Crackerjack Max. Lektra Utopia raced wide entering the home straight. It was noted Trainer Andrea Dailly(Crackerjack Max) accidentally tripped and became unbalanced when loading the greyhound into the boxes.

Kool Puppy was slow to begin and stumbled soon after the start.

Blingsteen checked off Tankster approaching the first turn. Kool Puppy raced wide in the home straight.

Phaser Bale was a late scratching at 11.53a.m. due to illness (GAR 23). A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Elly's Dream, Lite Beam and I'll Rob Ya collided soon after the start checking Elly's Dream and Lite Beam. Doing Chewing and Unbound collided on the first turn checking Doing Chewing. Lite Beam faltered on the first turn. I'll Rob Ya checked off Take Up Jack in the home straight checking Doing Chewing. Lite Beam raced wide entering the home straight and in the home straight.

Lite Beam which tailed off was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left triangle muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Herbivorous was a late scratching at 6.00p.m. due to weight variation. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. J. Collins was fined the sum of $100.
