Steward's Report
An out of competition urine sample was taken from Cuban Lad on 22/07/2024, pursuant to GAR 139.
Soda Diesel was slow to begin.
Deal Closer underwent a post-race veterinary examination (trainer's request) and was found to have a spike wound. No stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Dylan Sharp regarding the racing manners of Unleashing approaching the turn off the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Sharp, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action. In arriving at this decision, Stewards considered interference received from other greyhounds which impacted upon Unleashing's racing manners at that point of the event.
Cuban Lad (racing manners turning off the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Dylan Sharp regarding the racing manners of Cuban Lad. After hearing submissions from Mr. Sharp, viewing the available race footage, and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
