Steward's Report
A pre–race urine sample was unable to be obtained from Mr. Groove, a post–race blood sample was subsequently taken.
Braemar Sheila and Yellow Monaro were quick to begin.
Destini Bellanca underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have right foreleg split webbing. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Braemar Sheila turned it's head outwards multiple times approaching the 100m mark, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hind toe injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. Yvonne Cassidy regarding Braemar Sheila's racing manners approaching the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Braemar Sheila was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Cassidy pleaded guilty to the charge. Braemar Sheila must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
