Steward's Report
Charlotte's Hand and Black Pink were slow to begin.
Blue Bayou visibly eased approaching the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left and right back muscle injury and a right fibula injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms Dawn Johnston regarding Blue Bayou’s racing manners approaching the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Blue Bayou was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Johnston pleaded guilty to the charge. Blue Bayou must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
