Steward's Report
An out of competition urine sample was taken from Chi Foose on 13 November 2024 pursuant to GAR 139.
A pre-race urine sample was taken from Long Way Home.
Chi Foose, Furious Angel and Norse Queen were slow to begin.
Chi Foose raced wide in the home straight.
Harley (visibly eased and turned its head to the outside in the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Gregory Mills regarding Harley’s racing manners in the home straight. Mr. Mills declined the option to have the greyhound re-examined. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Harley was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Mills pleaded guilty to the charge. Harley was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Warragul and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
