Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Take The Edge.
Bandie Bullet was quick to begin.
Smooth Collinda checked of Major Mike on the first turn causing Smooth Collinda, Dishy Di and Acid Test to fall. These greyhounds underwent post–race veterinary examinations:
-Smooth Collinda was reported to have no apparent injury.
-Dishy Di was found to have eye abrasions and right fore spike wounds. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
-Acid Test was found to have left fore and hind abrasions. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.
Take The Edge turn its head outwards in the home straight, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 12, no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms. Donna Dean regarding Take The Edge's racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124 Take The Edge was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. Dean pled guilty to the charge, Take The Edge was suspended for 28 days at Sale and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
