Oakmont Octum was slow to begin. Blurton, Farrah Bale, Tear Away Damo and Oakmont Octum collided on the first turn checking Tear Away Damo and Oakmont Octum. Field Marshal and Yarn Bale collided on the first turn. Farrah Bale clipped the heels of Lynlea Jiddy approaching the home turn and fell as a result. Oakmont Octum and Yarn Bale collided on the home turn causing Yarn Bale to race wide. Boom Boucheau and Tear Away Damo collided entering the home straight.

Boom Boucheau which tired over the concluding stages was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Farrah Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left monkey muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Oakmont Bandit was slow to begin. Crackerjack Hano, Kimmy Bale and Exit Zero collided soon after the start checking Crackerjack Hano. Dust Maker and Kimmy Bale collided approaching the first turn. Irish Memory raced wide on the home turn.

Bold Caper was slow to begin. Melee Bale and She's A Melgar collided soon after the start. She's A Melgar and Melee Bale collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Melee Bale and She's A Melgar collided on the first turn checking She's A Melgar, and causing Harrier Bale to race wide. Bold Caper and Lachlan Fantasy collided in the early part of the home straight. Bold Caper eased in the home straight and collided with Lachlan Fantasy. 

Space Titan was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Annette McInnes, the trainer of the greyhound Bold Caper regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Bold Caper with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Ms. McInnes pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bold Caper was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Warrnambool and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Black Salt and Ice Toronado collided approaching the first turn checking Black Salt. Blistering Bob and Silver Rockstar collided on the first turn. Silver Rockstar and Ice Toronado collided on the first turn. Classic Caper and Demolition Guy collided on the first turn. Lynlea Jake and Hashtag Drew collided on the home turn. Classic Caper and Demolition Guy collided on the home turn. 

Shoshone Star and Tekki Yvettia were slow to begin. Go On Then, Vapour Caper and Ice Cossack collided soon after the start checking Vapour Caper. Ice Cossack checked off Hot Gold approaching the first turn. Starlight Safari, Hot Gold, Go On Then and Blingsteen collided on the first turn checking Hot Gold. Starlight Safari, Go On Then and Blingsteen collided on the first turn checking Go On Then, which then collided with Ice Cossack. Go On Then and Hot Gold collided on the home turn.

Psychotic Bob checked off Sofa So Good on the first turn. Wild Last Stress checked off Psychotic Bob approaching the home turn. Shattered Ice and Destini Lobo collided entering the home straight. Allen Warlock checked off Shattered Ice in the home straight.

An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Bryvon engaged in this event on Monday 12th January 2015 pursuant to GAR 79A.

Jayded Crisis and Bryvon were slow to begin. Marle Bale and Lil Arthur collided approaching the first turn checking Marle Bale. Cosmic Jewels and Grand Slam Diva collided approaching the first turn checking Cosmic Jewels. Bryvon, Lil Arthur and Cosmic Jewels collided on the first turn checking Cosmic Jewels, which stumbled. Grand Slam Diva and So Much Magic collided on the first turn checking So Much Magic. Lil Arthur checked off So Much Magic approaching the home turn.

Cosmic Jewels was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left monkey muscle and right pencil muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Gold Bust was very slow to begin (2 Lengths). Dyna Shinko, Singed Follicles and Dancing Madi collided soon after the start checking Dyna Shinko and Singed Follicles. Road Trip Blues, Dancing Madi and Barcia Beebee collided approaching the first turn checking Road Trip Blues, Dancing Madi and Bling My Day. Dyna Shinko and Singed Follicles collided approaching the home turn checking Singed Follicles. Bling My Day checked off Dancing Madi approaching the home turn and collided with Singed Follicles, resulting in Singed Follicles being checked, faltering and tailing off. Dancing Madi and Barcia Beebee collided approaching the winning post.
