Jukebox Hero, Malted and Baroness Tiffie were quick to begin.  Oakmont Octum was slow to begin.  Lektra Kirky, Blurton and El Carado collided soon after the start checking Blurton and Lektra Kirky.  Malted and Baroness Tiffie collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Lektra Kirky galloped on the heels of Malted on the first turn checking Baroness Tiffie and severely checking Malted.  Blurton checked off Lektra Kirky approaching the home turn.  Malted checked off Baroness Tiffie on the home turn.

Malted was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C Bahen regarding the greyhound Jukebox Hero's improved time. Mr. Bahen explained that the greyhound consistantly trials around 25:60 sec and he believes that an inside draw greatly assisted the greyhounds performance today. Stewards noted his explaination and ordered a sample be taken from the greyhound.

Smooth Honey was a late scratching at 12:07pm on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to slight dehydration.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Baroness Jill was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  Ashanti Crown checked off Prancing Magic approaching the first turn.  Baroness Jill and Ashanti Crown collided on the first turn.  Prancing Magic, Eumeralla Dessy and Valentine Belle collided approaching the home turn checking Eumeralla Dessy.  Prancing Magic and Valentine Belle collided approaching the home turn checking Valentine Belle.  Valentine Belle and Lizzibee collided in the home straight.

Uncool Albert, Cosmic Buddy and Moonlight Cloud collided soon after the start checking Cosmic Buddy.  Fos Newman, Ice Cold Bundy and China Rose collided on the first turn checking Fos Newman, Uncool Albert and Cosmic Buddy.  China Rose and Spence Millions collided approaching the home turn checking Spence Millions.  Starbright Girl checked off China Rose on the home turn checking Moonlight Cloud.  Starbright Girl checked off Moonlight Cloud in the home straight.  Cosmic Buddy and Spence Millions collided in the home straight.

Starbright Girl was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Elite Tulip was very slow to begin (2 lengths).  Saxon was very slow to begin.  Bandsaw, Soho Goodwill, Cosmic Lady and Don's Legend collided soon after the start.  Bandsaw checked off Soho Goodwill approaching the first turn.  Soho Goodwill, Cosmic Lady, Don's Legend and Cool Maxine collided on the first turn checking Elite Tulip and severely checking Cosmic Lady; Don's Legend and Cool Maxine fell as a result.  Bandsaw and Elite Tulip collided several times on the home turn.  Saxon raced wide throughout the event.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A Mooney, the trainer of the greyhound Saxon, regarding the greyhounds improved performance. Mr. Mooney explained that the greyhound is a wide runner and he was confident of a forward showing today from box 8. Stewards noted Mr. Mooney's explaination and took no further action.

Don's Legend was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left shoulder.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Cool Maxine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Ms. W. Miller, trainer of the greyhound Claretown Clyde redeclared a new weight of 33.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Claretown Clyde last raced at 32.0kgs.

Jack's Legend was slow to begin.  Speed Chill and Ceejay Whim collided approaching the first turn checking Ceejay Whim.  Claretown Clyde checked off Speed Chill entering the back straight.  Abdul and Speed Chill collided approaching the home turn checking Abdul.  Abdul and Lektra Cooked collided on the home turn.  Lektra Cooked raced wide in the home straight.

Mrs. Dirts was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to it's left shoulder and left wrist.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Spyware was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to it's left thigh.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Solo Whelping Trial

Deakin Street trialled over the 390 metre distance from box 5, weight 31.3kgs.  The time of the trial was 23.40.  Deakin Street was not cleared.  Deakin Street was vetted following the trial and was found to have soreness in the lower back.
