Steward's Report
Aston Richie – Late scratching at 10:44 when Ms Lyn Smith reported the greyhound to have diarrhoea (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
The start was delayed by approximately two minutes due to operational activities.
Smokey Nacho was quick to begin. Another Story and Bombers Lucknow were slow to begin.
Warrior Lisa (turned its head outwards turning off the back straight and marred Starlight Gemini) underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr Lindsay Fulford regarding Warrior Lisa’s racing manners turning off the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Warrior Lisa was charged with marring. Mr Fulford pleaded guilty to the charge. Warrior Lisa was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Another Story (contacted the running rail approaching the first turn) and underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
