Steward's Report
Arka Air was quick to begin. Spicy Viking and I'm Fabulous were slow to begin.
Brindle Tsunami was galloped on by Warrior Lisa on the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a cervico-thoracic injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Warrior Tommy was severely checked by Brindle Tsunami on the first turn, underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right hind spike wound. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Corey Fulford regarding the racing manners of Warrior Tommy approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr. Fulford, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Fire Up Mark - the winner of the event.
