Outsmart was slow to begin.
Harajuku Lass, Spring Watch and Idyllic Point raced tightly and collided turning out of the back straight, causing Harajuku Lass and Spring Watch to fall, and Idyllic Point to tail off. All three greyhounds underwent post-race veterinary examinations:
Harajuku Lass - Found to have a left fore toe injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Spring Watch - Found to have a lumbo-sacral injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Idyllic Point - Found to have a right triangle muscle injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
