Gold Class Cool was quick to begin. Smooth Blast and Desired Range were slow to begin.

Star Sixty Seven collided, checked and fell on the first turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left radius/ulna injury. A 90 day stand down period was imposed.

A post–race urine sample was taken from Gold Class Cool – the winner of the event.
