Steward's Report
Autumn Angel, Sundowner and Highland Jill were quick to begin.
Classic Charm (faltered after the finish line) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a back injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Sundowner underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to be severely ataxic. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Sundowner is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a Satisfactory Trial is completed pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42(3), Sundowner is suspended from racing for 3 months at all tracks.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Thermal Spark – placed third in the event.
