Stewards spoke to trainer Mr G George regarding Defensive’s racing manners on the first  turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Defensive was charged with marring. Mr G George pleaded guilty to the charge. Defensive was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Horsham and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.

Big Boy Cabang (racing manners approaching the turn into the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right wrist sprain. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Greg Berry regarding the racing manners of Big Boy Cabang approaching the turn into the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Berry, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued

Blazing Riot, Espresso Babe and Duke Caboom were quick to begin. Bluer Than Blue was slow to begin and raced wide throughout.

Stewards spoke to representative Mr A Onley regarding the racing manners of Paw Harris approaching the winning post. After hearing submissions from Mr A Onley, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.

Acting under the provisions of GAR 42, Tinker Pete is prohibited from competing in an event until such time as both a veterinary clearance is provided to the satisfaction of Stewards and a Satisfactory Trial is completed pursuant to GAR 132. Further, under the provisions of GAR 42(3), Tinker Pete is suspended from racing for 28 days at all tracks.
