Steward's Report
Handler Mr M.Lloyd was issued with a fine $200 (wholly suspended for 12 months) pursuant to GAR 156(f)(ii) for negligence, in that the incorrect race rug was placed on Zipping Grande.
Whodat Shanlyn underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
Stewards spoke to Representative Mr M.Delbridge regarding Whodat Shanlyn’s racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Whodat Shanlyn was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Delbridge pleaded guilty to the charge. Whodat Shanlyn was found guilty and suspended for 28 days (2nd offence) at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
