Steward's Report
Tattooed and Blistered Earth were slow to begin.
Distracting underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Trainer Mr Keith Lancaster regarding Distracting’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Distracting was charged with marring. Mr Lancaster pleaded guilty to the charge. Distracting was suspended for 28 days (1st offence) at Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race urine sample was taken from Lakeview Emily - winner of the event.
