Steward's Report
Kelce's Girl, Nutley Boy, Solar Kate and Reiko Venus were quick to begin. Dirty Rascal was slow to begin.
Kelce's Girl and Solar Kate (collided in the back straight causing both greyhounds to fall), underwent post-race veterinary examinations. It was reported that Solar Kate was found to have general soreness. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Kelce's Girl on examination was found to have a right sartorius muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
Solar Jessie (faltered approaching the home turn), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that Solar Jessie was found to have a right shoulder muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Paw Maven (eased on several occasions approaching the home turn and entering the home straight), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have a left sartorius muscle injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. Myles Delbridge regarding the racing manners of Paw Maven approaching the home turn and entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Paw Maven was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Myles pleaded guilty to the charge. Paw Maven was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A pre-race urine sample was unable to be obtained from Kelce's Girl, a post-race urine sample was taken from Kelce's Girl - unplaced.
