Steward's Report
Wild Venus – Late scratching at 9.45am when Traier - Mr. D. Bourke reported the greyhound to be ill (GAR 76). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate pursuant to GAR 19(3)(w) before any future nominations will be accepted.
Paw Vince, Mortlake Hustler and Anoke were quick to begin. Rashid was slow to begin.
Mayan Chief (racing manners in the home straight), underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no injury apparent. Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. T. Cortese, regarding the racing manners of Mayan Chief in the home straight.. After hearing submissions from Mr. Cortese, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.
