Steward's Report
Crackerjack Boom, Fighting Boxer and Orli Bale were slow to begin.
Crackerjack Bull and Fighting Boxer (collided and were severley checked approaching the second turn forcing Fighting Boxer to race wide), underwent post-race veterinary examinations. Fighting Boxer was found to have a right gracilis muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Crackerjack Boom was found to have abrasions to the right medial metatarsal. No stand down period was imposed.
Orli Bale (cramped approaching the finishing line), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have cramped. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting in accordance with GAR 130, Orli Bale was ordered to undertake a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 130, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Crackerjack Bull (visibly eased approaching the finishing line), underwent a post-race veterinary examination. It was reported that the greyhound was found to have abrasions to the left hind digits 4 & 5 and right hind digit 3 - No stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Trainer - Mr Jordan Cooper regarding the racing manners of Crackerjack Bull approaching the finishing line. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Crackerjack Bull was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Cooper pleaded guilty to the charge. Crackerjack Bull was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
