Rixi Bale (severely checked and fell soon after the start) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right monkey muscle injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
Distracting (racing manners in the home straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Mr. Keith Lancaster regarding the racing manners of Distracting in the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Lancaster, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, a warning was issued
