Steward's Report
Dr. Angelo was quick to begin. Our Kite Flyer was slow to begin.
Aston Beaufort turned its head outwards in the home straight and marred Sweaty Hand, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Ms Nicole Lund regarding Aston Beaufort’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 123, Aston Beaufort was charged with marring. Ms Lund pleaded guilty to the charge. Aston Beaufort was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at all tracks and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post–race urine sample was taken from Need You Now – the winner of the event.
