Bear Lee Bandit underwent a post-race veterinary examination at the request of the Handler and was found to have a laceration to the right ear. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

A post-race urine sample was taken from Smart Talk - the winner of the event. 

Mike's Tiger – New declared weight of 29.2kg, last raced at 31.0kg.

Bosustow was quick to begin. Washington Blue was slow to begin.

The announcement of the All Clear was delayed for the Stewards to review the race footage after a bird (magpie) was positioned on the running rail at the 150m mark and took flight as the greyhounds approached. After viewing the footage and acting on their own observations, the Stewards were comfortably satisfied that no greyhounds were materially affected so as to affect the outcome of the event. The All Clear was posted.

Bruce Intention and Flaming Fox were slow to begin.

Ruapuke Rocks (lost ground over the concluding stages) underwent a post-race veetrinary examination and was found to have a left hind toe fracture. A 60 day stand down period was imposed. 

A pre-race urine sample was taken from Packham Prince.

Mike Angelo Zeal, Packham Prince and Ayia Neighbour were quick to begin. 

Stewards noted that the timing system malfunctioned immediately after this event displaying an incorrect win time of 19.56 on the semaphore board. This was subsequently amended to the actual time of 19.16 prior to Stewards calling the All Clear.

A pre–race urine sample was taken from Free Falling.

General Winston was quick to begin. Free Falling was slow to begin.

General Winston crossed to the rail soon after the start. Destini Paladin raced wide throughout the event. Spartan Legend raced wide over the concluding stages.

Insensitive (turned head to inside from approaching the 150m mark to the 100m mark) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right deltoid and left hamstrings. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Fred Vassallo regarding Insensitive’s racing manners from approaching the 150m mark to the 100m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Insensitive was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Vassallo pleaded guilty to the charge. Insensitive was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
