Steward's Report
A pre–race urine sample was unable to be obtained from Catch The Outlaw, a post–race urine sample was subsequently taken.
Nitro Bale and Miss Daicos were quick to begin.
Bernardo's Boy (raced ungenerously turning off the back straight) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following Race 6. Bernardo's Boy was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. Paul Cusack regarding Bernardo's Boy’s racing manners turning off the back straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Cusack, viewing the available race footage and acting on their observations, a warning was issued. In arriving at this decision, Stewards took into consideration the lack of video footage in the area turning off the back straight and the injury the greyhound sustained.
Blue Vendetta (severely checked by Bernardo's Boy) underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left calf muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
