Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(6), Kennel Attendant, P. Brennan, did not act in any official capacity that may have, in any way, affected the outcome of this event.
Cornhill Raven and Make Us Dream were quick to begin. Belfast Lily was slow to begin.
Reiko Dusty underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported. Stewards spoke to Trainer - Mr. C. Brennan, regarding the racing manners of Reiko Dusty in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 124, Reiko Dusty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Brennan pleaded not guilty to the charge. Reiko Dusty was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 127, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Stewards noted the field arrived at the boxes 3 minutes prior to the start of this event. Stewards referred the matter to Club Manager - Ms. J Faralla for consideration and remediation.
