Steward's Report
Pursuant to GAR 75(7), Steward Ms Demi Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.
For Real Faith – Late scratching at 8.40am due to non–arrival (GAR 86 and LR 39). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr. Alan Clare informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown on–route to the track. Stewards advised Mr. Clare that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 72 hours of the occurrence that caused the non–arrival. The matter will be re–evaluated upon receipt of this evidence. Supplementary Advice - The 28-day stand-down was expired on 12/6/24 after satisfactory confirmatory evidence as to the vehicle breakdown was supplied to the Stewards.
Reiterate was quick to begin. Harvey Intention, Magic Destroyer and Payback were slow to begin.
Magic Destroyer (faltered entering the back straight and lost ground) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to the right back muscle and right hind toe. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
A post–race sample was taken from Ella's Babe – the winner of the event.
