Supplementary Report - 15/5/24 - The 10-day stand-down under GAR 101 and $100 fine were both cancelled due to the identification of a clerical error when recording the weight at the satisfactory trial on 2/5/24 within FastTrack. The weight of Smackdown Shaka at the satisfactory trial on 2/5/24 was 32.0kg but was recorded as 30.0kg. Smackdown Shaka recorded a weight of 31.4kg at Ballarat on 12/5/24.

Lose My Number [racing manners entering the home straight], underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a long head triceps and back injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Max Zammit regarding the racing manners of Lose My Number entering the home straight. After hearing submissions from Mr. Zammit, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, the Stewards issued a warning to connections.

Mr Colin Baker was reminded of his responsibilities to follow the Starter's orders when boxing Literally pursuant to GAR 105.

Inga Linda [led to the first turn and lost considerable ground thereafter], underwent a post–race veterinary examination, and after being re-vetted following Race 10, the greyhound was found to have a left carpal sprain and right tensor fascia lata muscle injury.  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to Representative - Mr. Michael Mitchell, regarding the overall performance of Inga Linda in this event, and after taking into consideration the injuries sustained to the greyhound, took no further action.

Mr. Ronald McCullagh was reminded of his responsibilities to follow the Starter's orders when boxing Chain Drive pursuant to GAR 105.

Good Manner and Exotic Beauty were quick to begin. Aaron Alpaca was slow to begin.

Aaron Alpaca [severly checked and fell after the winning post], underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound and a gracilis muscle injury. A 14 day stand down peiod was imposed.

Argyle Emma underwent a post–race veterinary examination at the trainer’s request and was found to have gracilis muscle and tensor fascia lata injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Aston Homare – Late scratching at 1:21pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to a left stopper injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Artorias Bale – Late scratching at 1:25pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to an infection. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A post-race sample was taken from Silliest Salmon - the winner of the event.

Never Sweet – Late scratching at 1:19pm on the advice of the On–Track Veterinarian (GAR 92) due to being in season. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Shima Jim.

Little Poppet and Xun Bale were quick to begin. My Boy Harvey, Shima Jim and Lala Speed were slow to begin.

Little Poppet raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards received an application from Trainer, Mr. Ian Robinson, to remove the anti-aggression muzzle on Xun Bale.  Stewards observed the actions of Xun Bale in the catching pen and failed the application after Xun Bale continued to display signs of unreasonable behaviour.
