Quested Bale faltered on the home turn, underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mrs Tammy Kennedy-Harris regarding the racing manners of Quested Bale on the home turn. Acting in accordance with GAR 19(3)(w), a veterinary certificate of fitness is required, before any further nominations are accepted for Quested Bale.
Esfahan fell entering the catching pen, underwent a post–race veterinary examination – no apparent injury was reported.
