Steward's Report

Kipketer and Sole Intent were slow out. Whisper My Name and Chrome Shadow collided soon after the start, checking Chrome Shadow. Brandon's Reward checked off the heels of Excitable approaching the first turn. Brandon's Reward checked off the heels of Whisper My Name on the first turn. Steel Plate and Excitable collided approaching the second turn. Samples were taken from Whisper My Name, the winner of the event. tThe boxes failed to open at the first attempt and it became apparent to the starter, Mr. Joe Karamatic, that the safety catches of these boxes had not been released, causing the incident. All greyhounds were re-vetted and passed fit to run. The muzzle was also replaced on Chrome Shadow (7). Stewards spoke to both track attendent, Mr. Ray Bartolo, and starter, Mr. Karamatic regarding the incident.
