New York Times was slow out. Starfire Magic was very slow out. New York Times and Not So Free collided approaching the first turn checking Super Fly. Ready To Rock galloped on the heels of Not So Free on the first turn checking Not So Free and severely checking Lake Trasimene checking New York Times which stumbled as a result. Starfire Magic galloped on the heels of Bo Tatiana on the first turn checking both greyhounds. New York Times eased in the home straight and collided with Two Names and Not So Free checking Two Names and severely checking Not So Free. Two Names was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fractured right foreleg, a 30 day stand down period was imposed. Super Fly was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. New York Times was vetted following the event and re-vetted following event 9. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right wrist, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5) the Steward's charged New York Times with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury and directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(6) before any future nomination be accepted.
