Steward's Report
No Sonnet and Mystery Prize were slow out.
Joyer Miss and Sandy Shoals collided soon after start. No Sonnet galloped on the heels of Joyer Miss on the first turn severely checking both greyhounds. Emerald's Gem checked off the heels of Sugar Star on the first turn. Sandy Shoals and Mystery Prize collided on the first turn. Emerald's Gem and Mystery Prize collided approaching the winning post.
Emerald's Gem was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a superficial abrasion right hind. No stand down penalty was applied.
Stewards issued a warning to Mrs. L. Russell, the trainer of Emerald's Gem regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post.
