Ocean Tsunami and Oxygen Chief were slow out. Speed Skater crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Oxygen Chief, Old Navy and Bay Rhode. Mepunga Rich and Speed Skater collided on the first turn checking Ocean Tsunami, Out To Reign, Oxygen Chief and Old Navy. Mepunga Rich and Speed Skater collided approaching the home turn.
Stewards spoke to the handler of Sports Pro Mr. S Coulson representing trainer Mr. G. Bate regarding the greyhounds improved performance tonight. Mr. Coulson could offer no explanation to the greyhounds improved performance other than in his opinion the greyhound was of above average ability.
