Paragon Sprinter and Rayner Bale were slow to begin. Another Fabio and Alpine Silver collided soon after the start. Paragon Sprinter galloped on the heels of Highest Height on the first turn, severely checking Murch's Rain, Highest Height, Paragon Sprinter and Soldier Shelby, Highest Height stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. Alpine Silver eased on the first turn and tailed off. Highest Height was vetted following the running of the event, found to be injured (Left and Right Thigh) and will stand down for 7 days. Alpine Silver was vetted following the running of the event (No Apparent Injury Found). Alpine Silver was re-vetted (No Apparent Injury Found). Stewards charged Alpine Silver under AGRR80.2 and suspended the greyhound for 28 days at Warrnambool. Alpine Silver will be required to undergo a Satisfactory Trial (All Tracks) before further nomination pursuant to AGRR81.1. Stewards spoke to D Trewin (Handler - Another Fabio) regarding his late arrival at the kennels prior to the race. Stewards issued Mr Trewin with a severe reprimand.
