Frankie Heritage was a late scratching at 5.55 p.m. due to weight variation.
Treacherous and Excella Bale were slow to begin. Bush Dennis checked off the heels of Oxygen Chief soon after the start. Oxygen Chief checked off the heels of Two Shots on the first turn, checking Excella Bale and Mepunga Sheena. Bush Dennis checked off the heels of Soldier Shelby on the first turn. Excella Bale cramped in the home straight.
Excella Bale was vetted following the running of the event, found to be injured (Severe Cramp), and was stood down for 5 days.
Acting under AGRR85 (Cramp), Stewards directed that Excella Bale perform a Satisfactory Trial (All Tracks) before further nomination.
