Shrek's Hand was revetted at the kennels after concerns by the trainer and was passed fit to race.
Awash and Kyella Magic were slow out. Aston Jobson crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Toopaeus Prince. Doc's Dora and Toopaeus Prince collided approaching the first turn. Majak Magic and Doc's Dora collided on the first turn, checking Doc's Dora. Toopaeus Prince and Leslie's Express collided on the first turn. Shrek's Hand and Majak Magic collided approaching the home turn, checking Shrek's Hand. Doc's Dora raced wide on the home turn.
Shrek's Hand was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the front left foot. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
