A pre-race swab sample was taken from Ranonbi.
Awesome Molly, Giraffe and Mixed Up Mary collided soon after the start. Ranonbi and Aaron's Vialie collided on the first turn checking Ranonbi. Era In Judgement, Aaron's Vialie, Ducal Princess and Mixed Up Mary collided on the fifth turn checking Ducal Princess and Class And Style. Giraffe clipped the heels of Era In Judgement approaching the home turn and fell. Era In Judgement checked off the heels of Aaron's Vialie on the home turn.
Giraffe was vetted following the Event and found to be sore in the right hind, right thigh, left triangle and right monkey muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Cribb, the Stewards will stand Giraffe down from competing for 5 days.
