Issi Aussie was slow out and stumbled soon after the start colliding with Latrobe Storm as a result. Latrobe Storm brushed the running rail on the first turn. Din's Portrait and Just Under collided on the first turn. Latrobe Storm and Prince Lyric collided approaching the second turn and again on the second turn. Issi Aussie and Just Under collided on the second turn. Just Under raced wide in the home straight. Latrobe Storm was vetted following the Event and Dr. Alistair Smith, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right triangle muscle. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards will stand Latrobe Storm down from competing for 7 days. Just Under was also vetted following the Event and Dr. Smith reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the right shoulder. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Smith, the Stewards wuill stand Just Under down from competing for 5 days. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Kevin Ward, regarding the manner in which Just Under raced approaching the second turn. Proven Titan was also vetted and no apparent injury was detected.
