Jedman was slow out. Axeman and Jedman collided approaching the first turn. Maxziva and Jedman collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Axeman and Jedman collided on the first turn checking Jedman and severely checking Axeman which hit the running rail and subsequently pulled up. Barney's Pride, Ten Years Gone and Selsi Flyer collided on the first turn checking Barney's Pride and Ten Years Gone, Maxziva raced wide as a result. Barney's Pride and Ten Years Gone collided approaching the home turn. Ten Years Gone checked off the heels of Barney's Pride on the home turn. Jedman checked off the heels of Ten Years Gone entering the home straight. Axeman was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left shoulder injury, a cut chin and a left hind, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Samples were taken from Darlyn Chris winner of the event.
