Steward's Report
Tis Grand, Endless Pit and Kickemon Sid were slow out. Springvale Lucy eased approaching the first turn. Quidame crossed to the rails on the first turn checking On Just Terms and Spalding. Tis Grand and Endless Pit collided on the first turn and raced wide on the second turn.
Springvale Lucy was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. Michael Bell, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle and right coupling. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Bell, the Stewards will stand Springvale Lucy down from competing for 10 days. Stewards charged Springvale Lucy in contravention of GAR96(2) for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the first turn. After taking evidence from Trainer, Mr. L. Ketelaar, and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked GAR98(1)(d) in lieu of GAR96(2) and have directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before being eligible for nomination again.
