Mystical Bree was a late withdrawal at 11.25 a.m. due to illness. Acting in accordance with AGRR 6(4), the Stewards will stand Mystical Bree down from competing for 10 days. Escaping Waters and Fabulous Fool collided soon after the start. Escaping Waters checked off the heels of Fenceline on the first turn checking Charlesworth. Fenceline checked off the heels of Zuko on the second turn severely checking Fenceline and Ginger Azz and checking Charlesworth. Fenceline and Ginger Azz collided in the back straight. Escaping Waters and Charlesworth collided approaching the home turn. Ginger Azz was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that she could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. A swab sample was taken from Phyllis Diller, the winner of the Event.

Coulta Birch was slow out. Sand Wedge, Expressionate, Kiddle Kid and Coulta Birch collided soon after the start. Ryght Gun, Sand Wedge and Expressionate collided on the first turn. Heitiki's Champ and Sand Wedge collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight. Ryght Gun and Coulta Birch collided on the third turn. Following the running of the Event, Ricky Charles (weight 34.4) and Chad Waters (weight 34.0) trialled over 515 metres starting from Boxes 1 and 3 respectively. Ricky Charles led the trial by half a length at the first split at a time of 5.30 but subsequently tailed off in the back straight after sustaining an injury. Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, subsequently reported that Ricky Charles was found to be injured in the right hock and recommended that the greyhound be stood down from competing for 28 days. The sectional times recorded by the Judge for Chad Waters were as follows: 5.33: 19.41: 30.47.

Geoff's Mate and Honorah's Lad were slow out. Chewy Rumballs, Geoff's Mate and Traction Control collided soon after the start. Honorah's Lad galloped on the heels of Thunder Brook soon after the start. Thunder Brook, Geoff's Mate and Honorah's Lad collided on the first turn checking Geoff's Mate and Honorah's Lad. Little Pizazz and Chewy Rumballs collided approaching the second turn checking Chewy Rumballs. Sun Alert, Thunder Brook, Geoff's Mate and Honorah's Lad collided entering the back straight checking Thunder Brook and Honorah's Lad. Sun Alert, Little Pizazz and Chewy Rumballs collided on the home turn checking Chewy Rumballs. Sun Alert and Little Pizazz collided in the home straight checking Little Pizazz.

Lizzie Sue was withdrawn by Stewards at 6.15pm kennelling time after Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound was presented for racing with an elevated temperature and was unwell. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Westergren, the greyhound will be stood down from competing for 5 days. Coole Castle and Auto Express were slow out. Lambrock Bale and Flex Appeal collided entering the back straight checking Flex Appeal. Lamrock Bale, Flex Appeal, Ambria Flex and Lansley Princess collided on the home turn.

Alexander Bale and Hyde Park were slow out. Hecuba, Choda Boy and Blue Eyed Boy collided soon after the start. Benden Flex and Gordon's Larry collided soon after the start. Hecuba and Blue Eyed Boy collided on the first turn severely checking Blue Eyed Boy, Benden Flex and Hyde Park. Choda Boy and Alexander Bale collided on the first turn. Choda Boy checked off the heels of Stanton on the third turn checking Hecuba.

Timber Case and Hades Rocket collided soon after the start. Ingeborg checked off the heels of Toora Tiger approaching the first turn severely checking Tabrooke Flyer and Ingeborg. Thinking Cap and Lika Harley collided on the second turn. Thinking Cap, Timber Case and Hades Rocket collided on the home turn. Toora Tiger veered in and fought Lika Harley approaching the finishing line. Toora Tiger was vetted following the Event and Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left and right triceps, left and right pencil muscles and right triangle and recommended that the greyhound be stood down from competing for 14 days. Stewards charged Toora Tiger in contravention of AGRR 80.1 for fighting approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from Trainer, K. Height, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Toora Tiger guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.2, the Stewards will stand Toora Tiger down from competing for three months (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Ingeborg was also vetted following the Event and after beging revetted, Dr. Westergren reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the left monkey muscle, left pencil muscle and grazing to the right hock. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Westergren, the Stewards will stand Ingeborg down from competing for 7 days. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Gary Ennis, regarding the manner in which Ingeborg raced approaching the second turn. Stewards spoke to Trainer, P. Wardle (Tabrooke Flyer), in regard to his responsibilities when loading greyhounds into the boxes.

Draft Man and Mr Tab collided soon after the start. Zyrtec, Red Sea and Jay Aye Mick collided soon after the start. Draft Man checked off the heels of Mr Tab approaching the first turn. Red Sea, Jay Aye Mick and Swordsman collided on the second turn. Mr Tab checked off the heels of Jay Aye Mick in the back straight. Mr Tab and Jay Aye Mick collided on the third turn. Draft Man was vetted following the Event and Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left back leg. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Westergren, the Stewards will stand Draft Man down from competing for 14 days. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer, Con Maniatis, in regard to his tardiness when loading World Champ Camp into the boxes for this Event. A swab sample was taken from Zyrtec, the winner of the Event.

Billane Boy, Legends and King's Dilemma were slow out. Ceejay's Vixen crossed to the rails soon after the start checking Flossy Fling, Pacific Sky and Jakes Mate. Flossy Fling eased approaching the finishing line. Flossy Fling was vetted following the Event and Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left elbow and recommended that the greyhound be stood down from competing for 10 days. Flossy Fling was charged in contravention of AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from Trainer, Brad Polson, and taking into account the injuries sustained to the greyhound, the Stewards invoked AGRR 82.1(d) in lieu of AGRR 80.2 and have directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted.

Manic Panic was slow out. Classical Girl and Pingarra Bale collided soon after the start. Petlin Power, Nanchero Flash and Blessed Speed collided soon after the start. Pingarra Bale and Manic Panic collided on the first turn.

Trewly Hot went up with the lids at box rise. Untapped Ability was slow out. Mystical Flyer, Accretion, My Charmola and Bindana Storm collided soon after the start checking My Charmola and Bindana Storm. Coulta Ash, Accretion and My Charmola collided approaching the first turn checking Coulta Ash and My Charmola and causing Accretion to fall. My Charmola and Trewly Hot collided on the first turn checking Trewly Hot. Blue Mania and Coulta Ash collided entering the back straight. Coulta Ash and Trewly Hot collided on the third turn. Blue Mania and Untapped Ability collided on the home turn. Accretion was vetted following the Event and Dr. Anne Westergren, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to the neck. Acting on a recommendation from Dr. Westergren, the Stewards will stand Accretion down from competing for 3 days.
