Regal Ricky, Panicked and Brumby Lad collided soon after the start. Bogie Leigh, Malfoy, Regal Ricky, Panicked and Brumby Lad collided approaching the first turn. Panicked checked off the heels of Regal Ricky on the first turn checking Bogie Leigh, Malfoy, Panicked and Brumby Lad. Panicked checked off the heels of Paua To Burn approaching the second turn. Malfoy checked off the heels of Kobble Rock approaching the second turn. Panicked and Paua To Burn collided on the second turn checking both greyhounds. Kobble Rock and Brumby Lad collided in the home straight. Kobble Rock eased approaching the finishing line checking Brumby Lad. Kobble Rock was vetted following the Event and after being revetted, Dr. David Hall, the Club's Veterinary Surgeon, reported that he could find no injury apparent with the greyhound. Stewards charged Kobble Rock in contravention of AGRR 80.2 for failing to pursue the lure with due commitment approaching the finishing line. After taking evidence from Trainer, M. Sattler, acting on their own observations and viewing the official video film, the Stewards found Kobble Rock guilty as charged. Acting in accordance with AGRR 81.1, the Stewards will stand Kobble Rock down from competing for 28 days at Sandown Park only and will require the greyhound to perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will again be accepted. Swab samples were taken from the placegetters - Whisky Assassin (1st), Regal Ricky (2nd) and Kobble Rock (3rd).
