Awesome Bruce was a late scratching at 6.15pm due to injury.
Zac's Legend, Silent Hawk and Coleman Bale were slow out. Silent Hawk and Goodrem Bale collided approaching the first turn. Jumbo Forrest, Goodrem Bale and Silent Hawk collided on the first turn checking Coleman Bale and Goodrem Bale. Zac's Legend, Dyna Kayne and Tuqiri collided on the first turn. Jumbo Forrest and Goodrem Bale collided on the second turn. Jumbo Forrest checked off the heels of Goodrem Bale on the third turn. Zac's Legend and Tuqiri collided on the home turn checking Tuqiri.
Zac's Legend, Zac's Legend was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound suffered some minor grazes to the left hind nail bed, no stand down period was imposed. Stewards issued a warning to Trainer of Zac's Legend, Mr M. Macdonald-Johnson, regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the home turn.
